The Fault in Our Stars

Anguish.  Unconditional Love.  Anger.  Grief.  Sorrow.  Redemption.

Hazel Grace and Augustus Waters were dealt a bad hand.  But during their brief time together they found a love that would see them through disappointments, fear, cancer and death.  This is a wonderful story of how to young people can find each other amid the turmoil of diagnosis, "treatment" and loss.

Highly recommend this book- I give it 4 piles!

The Lifeguard

The Lifeguard by Deborah Blumethal was a quick read and a perfect one for a hot summer night.  Sirena is shipped of to Rhode Island when her parents decide it would be best for her to spend time away while they finalize their divorce.  During the summer Sirena learns there is more to life than feeling sorry for yourself and when you open your eyes- and your heart- you might be amazed at what you find.  This book packs a lot of issues into it and offers quick resolution to all of them.  If you are looking for a fun beach read take along the lifeguard.
